What’s new at InvGate Asset Management

Turn on "Prevent self-approval" in Settings > Software Deployment > Security controls > Deployment approval, and the person who created a deployment plan or package loses the ability to approve their own submission. Another user with approval permissions has to sign off instead, turning the existing approval toggle into a real segregation-of-duties control for regulated and security-conscious teams. Create a connection between any two CIs, an asset, a person, a cloud asset, a database, or a business application, from the new Related CIs tab on the CI profile. This release includes five native connection types and lets you define your own, and every connection you create shows up automatically on both linked CIs, replacing the spreadsheet or the one person who remembers how things are actually wired together. The Vendor Tax ID field now accepts any character (except “<” or “>”), so you can record a vendor's EIN in the US, BN in Canada, CNPJ in Brazil, RFC in Mexico, or any other local tax identifier exactly as issued, instead of forcing it into a digits-and-hyphens format that doesn't fit. This applies consistently across the UI and the public API, and any Tax ID you already have on file stays exactly as it is. From v3.22 onwards on Starter and above plans. Cloud and on-prem.

Asset Management logs every property change on a CI, but the log only captures what changed and who clicked "Save." Enable Governance under "Settings > CI General > Governance" to require a reason, an authorized approver, and an effective date before any critical property change on a Database CI is saved. Document templates now let you choose how the header, table, and footer share the page. Select "Show once and let the content flow" and the footer expands to fit as many rows as you need, whether that is 5 lines or 12 legal clauses.
