The Notion built-in action connector reads content out of Notion as a workflow step: a page, a database, a user, nested block content, or the comments on an item. Every action is a read, so the connector brings Notion content into the process rather than writing back to it.

When runbooks, policies, and internal documentation live in Notion, the workflow that needs them has no way to see them, so an agent goes looking, and the process waits. Reading the content into the workflow means a step can act on what the documentation actually says: branch on it, quote it in a response, or surface it to whoever is approving.
